One of our prestigious clients who is a leading "Software Engineering" company is looking for a "Sysops Engineer" to join their team immediately.

SALARY: LKR 300,000

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage applications, servers and services hosted in AWS and Azure cloud.
• Evaluate Contingency plans and security of solutions deployed.
• Register and manage new and existing Domains including billing.
• Implement and manage Google Gsuite and Microsoft Office 365 services, visual studio licensing.
• System monitoring and maintenance including configuration & security management, patching.
• Troubleshooting server-side issues and outages including server hardware.
• Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
• Creating backups and safeguarding the data.
• Manage company network and internet services.
• Manage Internet/network security, evaluate disaster recovery and implement contingency plans.
• Requirement analysis, procurement and managing assignment of hardware and devices.
• Laptop and helpdesk support, making sure all laptop, and user related issues are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions to the day-to-day operations.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware configuration issues and provide suitable solutions.
• Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
• Maintenance of corporate antivirus & firewall settings.
• Experience in gitlab, CICD pipelines, docker, Jenkins.
• Ability to manage and troubleshoot AWS VPN / mysql.
• Knowledge in terraform/ansible/cloudformation Kubernetes would be an added advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

• A University degree in IT/ Network or an equivalent qualification.
• Certifications related to Linux and AWS.
• 2+ years of industry experience working in a similar capacity.
• Experience in Handling Microsoft and Linux based operating systems and services.
• Experience in security best practices and remediation.
• Experience in Middleware (Nginx, Apache and .NET Core).
• Hands on experience in Microsoft 365, system administration Windows Server / Linux.
• Good understanding of Firewalls, networking, and security.
