Our client is a leader in the multi-national "Food & Beverage" industry and is looking for an accomplished "Country Manager" to develop their business presence in Sri Lanka.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Country Manager will be for Corporate and Key Accounts. The ideal candidate should have a proven entrepreneurial track record in the food industry, specifically in the Ingredients and Flavours business.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the Country's key accounts in-country, P/L, budget process, risk management, supply assurance, project pipeline, product strategy and provide best in class process excellence.

  • Utilize business plans and operational levers to target key market segments, growth accounts, industry dynamics, raw material risks, trends, gaps, and timelines for executions of key strategies.
  • Ability to leverage cross-functional linkage with country sales teams, R&D, manufacturing, procurement, QC/QA, and finance.
  • Lead, manage, and direct account manager activities and monitor performance against established KPI’s.
  • Identify and develop successful insight sales and messaging for the commercial teams as key points of differentiation that demonstrate and teach customers new ways of thinking about doing business with us.
  • Direct and manage pricing strategies to ensure margin management that outlines price increase initiatives and/or strategic pricing decisions to meet business operating profits.
  • Develop, manage and lead a solid project pipeline with deep knowledge of each of the key projects and the health of each project and its probability for success to determine if additional investments/resources are required.
  • Develop and execute a business plan for Industrial defined by commercial and operational strategies that assure strategic alignment to the company’s overarching business plan and financial objectives.
  • Deliver new product wins, sales and margins.
  • Develop and execute account plans that outline customer strategies, requirements, sales forecasts, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:


  • Age between 30 - 40
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • MBA with a focus on strategic management or corporate finance is a definite advantage.
  • B2B experience is a must.
  • At least 10 years in the "Food & Beverage / Ingredients and Flavours" industry.
  • Proven track record of sales within the food or flavors & ingredients business, preferably in a multinational environment.

  • Should have good contacts in Sri Lanka Food Industry with close contacts in Tea & Bakery Industry as a primary requirement.
  • Experience in developing customer and territory budgets.
  • Up to date knowledge of key competitors and their activities within the region.

  • Ability to self-motivate and create entrepreneurial passion.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ambitious, energetic, target-driven, initiative-taker, and highly motivated.
  • Effective people manager, communicator, and team-oriented individual.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop talent.
  • Strong negotiation skills and project management experience.
  • Self-starter with drive and the ability to work autonomously, planning their own work and time effectively.
