Our client who is a leading software development and technology consultancy company is looking for an experienced "SysOps Engineer" to join their team in Colombo immediately.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage applications, servers and services hosted in AWS and Azure cloud.
- Evaluate Contingency plans and security of solutions deployed.
- Register and manage new and existing Domains including billing.
- Implement and manage Google G-Suite and Microsoft Office 365 services, visual studio licensing.
- System monitoring and maintenance including configuration & security management, patching.
- Troubleshooting server-side issues and outages including server hardware.
- Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
- Creating a backup and safeguarding the data.
- Manage company network and internet services.
- Manage Internet/network security, evaluate disaster recovery and implement contingency plans.
- Requirement analysis, procurement and managing assignment of hardware and devices.
- Laptop and helpdesk support, making sure all laptop, and user related issues are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions to the day-to-day operations.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware configuration issues and provide suitable solutions.
- Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
- Maintenance of corporate antivirus & firewall settings.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Networking or related discipline.
- 4+ years of industry experience working in a similar capacity.
- Certifications related to Linux and AWS
- Hands on experience in Microsoft 365, system administration Windows Server / Linux
- Experience in Handling Microsoft and Linux based operating systems and services.
- Experience in Middleware (Nginx , Apache and .NET Core)
- Experience in security best practices and remediation.
- Good understanding of Firewalls, Networking, and Security.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to grasp new technologies, concepts quickly and willingness to learn.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
