One of our prestigious Clients' who is a leading International Telecommunication Company is looking for an experienced "Country Manager" to work in their Colombo office immediately.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Your primary role as our Country Manager is to define and drive expansion into the SMS market, develop and implement effective SMS business strategies.

You will be responsible for the SMS trading activities with a specific list of accounts, for maintaining and managing the relationships with existing partners, and for further developing new opportunities, with a goal to grow the direct margin of this segment.

You will be contributing to the company’s awareness development through interaction with influential people and marketing activities.

  • Develop, drive, manage sales activities to grow revenues and direct margin in the A2P SMS field that support and exceed forecasts, and execute effective business strategies while identifying new market opportunities via market research and initiating contact.
  • Grow acquisition, managing both our existing sales pipeline and generation of new SMS business while contributing to the direct margin and revenue increase of the A2P SMS Business.
  • Monitor traffic and respond to all problems with prompt attention.
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets.
  • Assist and managing business operations in the market / office.
  • Related to sales team activities - Annual increase in quarterly/annual margin, revenue, growth, and acquisition targets in the assigned region.
  • Communicating new development SMS business to prospective clients
  • Overseeing the development of marketing literature
  • Collaboration of the teams within the unit and between different units.
  • Coach, Develop, and guide the SMS enterprise team on how to drive the most optimal customer journey and how to grow each client in the team’s portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining a high-performing region.
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:


  • Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Telecom Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the SMS A2P/P2P and SMS trading environment. Or in a related field.
  • Knowledgeable in the telecom industry.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to influence your stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and Local Language.
  • Ability to enhance, tailor, and drive sales process across an assigned region while always in line with company strategy.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • Result-driven with a positive and persistent attitude.
  • High degree of self-motivation and ownership required to succeed in a high-growth organization.
