One of our prestigious Clients' who is a renowned International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) based in Colombo, is looking for an experienced "HR & Admin Officer" to join their team immediately.

SALARY: Rs. 130,000

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts and PTO requests.
  • Updating internal databases with new hire information.
  • Creating and distributing guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies.
  • Gather payroll data like bank accounts, statutory returns relating to EPF/ETF and working days.
  • Publish and remove job ads.
  • Schedule job interviews and contact candidates as needed.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics.
  • Develop training and onboarding material.
  • Respond to employees' questions about benefits. (for example, number of vacation days they're eligible for.)
  • Resolving conflicts or complaints from employees.
  • Monitoring task activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed.
  • Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.

  • Administrative duties include but not limited to; Banking, travel/transport arrangements, booking flights, hotel reservations, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Age between 30 - 45 years.
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resource Management or relevant field is a must.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' of experience as a HR & Admin Officer, HR Administrative Assistant or similar role.
  • Working experience with an INGO is a must.

  • Proficient in basic IT skills. (Email, Internet, MS-Office, Etc.)
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems. (HRIS)
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Ability to follow confidentiality guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records at all times.
  • Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
  • Solid understanding of administration and personnel management principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Time and project management skills, including the ability to efficiently multitask when necessary.
  • Team player with a pleasing personality.
