One of our prestigious international clients is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join their Finance team remotely from Sri Lanka.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, billing, accounts payable and receivable, and other finance-related functions while working according to applicable accounting standards and requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and input monthly, adjusting, and recurring journal entries using Sage Evolution.
- Prepare and produce monthly management accounts.
- Prepare, respond to, and update supporting financial schedules on a monthly basis.
- Ensure billing and invoicing are accurate and properly maintained.
- Reconcile financial ledgers and records on a monthly basis.
- Monitor and ensure settlement of utility bills and local authority bills.
- Assist with audit and tax-related queries.
- Assist in preparing cheques for authorised signatures.
- Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable Mauritian requirements.
- Maintain sound knowledge and application of VAT, PAYE, and TDS requirements.
- Provide day-to-day accounting support to the Finance Manager.
- Prepare financial information and reports as required by management.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Finance Manager and Directors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA Level 1 or equivalent qualification will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
- Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
- Experience using Sage Evolution is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS.
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of VAT, PAYE, and TDS.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dynamic, organised, and motivated personality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a remote working environment.
- Ability to work according to Mauritius working hours.
