As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer – LV Switchboards to join their engineering team and contribute to high-quality electrical projects.

SALARY: Negotiable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop detailed Low Voltage (LV) switchboard designs from tender handover to project completion.
• Perform equipment selection, protection coordination, and fault level assessments.
• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematics, GA drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Conduct design verification in accordance with AS/NZS 61439 standards.
• Provide technical support to production, procurement, and commissioning teams.
• Review consultant documentation and manage design changes.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer technical meetings.
• Ensure electrical designs meet client specifications and compliance requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in LV switchboard design.
• Experience with Australian switchboard design and manufacturing standards.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, IEC 60947 standards.
  • Protection coordination, discrimination, and fault calculations.
  • Busbar systems, IP ratings, segregation forms, and arc flash awareness.
  • Renewable energy integration, generators, ATS, BESS, and EV infrastructure.
• Proficiency in:
  • EPLAN Electric P8
  • AutoCAD
  • SolidWorks Electrical
  • Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of ETAP, PowerCAD, and ERP systems will be an advantage.
