One of our prestigious clients in Kuwait is looking for Junior Electrical Estimation Engineers to join their team. Candidates should have relevant knowledge or experience in electrical estimation, quantity take-offs, cost calculations, and tender preparation, with the ability to review electrical drawings, prepare material estimates, assist in cost analysis, and support the preparation of accurate project quotations.

POSITION: Junior Electrical Estimation Engineers

SALARY: KD 170–200

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in preparing electrical cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for engineering projects.
• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and project documents to understand project requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for electrical materials, equipment, cables, conduits, lighting, and other installation components.
• Assist in calculating material quantities, labour costs, and other project-related expenses.
• Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) based on electrical drawings and project specifications.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations for electrical materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with procurement teams and suppliers to collect material prices and technical information.
• Assist in preparing cost breakdowns, estimation sheets, and pricing schedules.
• Identify discrepancies or missing information in drawings and specifications and report them to senior engineers.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, material prices, estimation documents, and tender submissions.
• Support senior estimation engineers in preparing competitive and technically accurate bids.
• Assist in reviewing project scope, specifications, and tender requirements.
• Update estimation records based on revised drawings, material prices, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate cost information.
• Ensure estimation documents are prepared accurately and submitted within the required deadlines.
• Perform other estimation-related duties assigned by senior engineers or management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in electrical estimation, quantity surveying, or electrical project support is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with junior-level experience may be considered, depending on project requirements.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimation, and tender preparation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and estimation-related documentation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical estimation software is an advantage.
• Ability to compare supplier quotations and assist with material cost calculations.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when preparing estimates.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under the guidance of senior estimation engineers and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in an engineering, construction, or project environment.
