Our client who is a leading "Financial Firm" is looking for experienced "Recovery Officers" to work in their Colombo office immediately.
SALARY: Negotiable
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Recovery Officer is responsible for the collection of debts prior to legal recovery proceedings commencing, negotiating payments/payment arrangements, handling debtor inquiries, and provides administrative assistance to the team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Age below 40 years.
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a similar field is preferred.
- Proven experience working at a recognized Financial Institution as a Recovery Officer.
- Familiarity with debt collection laws.
- Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of office and accounting software.
- Ability to create trusted relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues.
- Ability to communicate with judgment, diplomacy, and tact with customers from various backgrounds.
- Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence.
- Ability to be patient and resilient when dealing with customers.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
