One of our prestigious Clients' who is a renowned International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) based in Colombo, is looking for an experienced "HR & Admin Officer" to join their team immediately.
SALARY: Rs. 130,000
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts and PTO requests.
- Updating internal databases with new hire information.
- Creating and distributing guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies.
- Gather payroll data like bank accounts, statutory returns relating to EPF/ETF and working days.
- Publish and remove job ads.
- Schedule job interviews and contact candidates as needed.
- Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics.
- Develop training and onboarding material.
- Respond to employees' questions about benefits. (for example, number of vacation days they're eligible for.)
- Resolving conflicts or complaints from employees.
- Monitoring task activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed.
- Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.
- Administrative duties include but not limited to; Banking, travel/transport arrangements, booking flights, hotel reservations, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Age between 30 - 45 years.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Human Resource Management or relevant field is a must.
- Minimum 2-3 years' of experience as a HR & Admin Officer, HR Administrative Assistant or similar role.
- Working experience with an INGO is a must.
- Proficient in basic IT skills. (Email, Internet, MS-Office, Etc.)
- Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems. (HRIS)
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to follow confidentiality guidelines.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records at all times.
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
- Solid understanding of administration and personnel management principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Time and project management skills, including the ability to efficiently multitask when necessary.
- Team player with a pleasing personality.
